What does Forgiveness mean? According to the Webster dictionary it’s a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment or vengeance toward a person or group who has harmed you, regardless of whether they actually deserve your forgiveness.

In the Bible it says in Luke 17: 3-4 “If your brother or sister[a] sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.” What does that look like? Let me explain; someone has slandered your name, verbally attacked your character, or even mishandled your heart… You say I don’t know what else to do, I’ve explained to them how they’ve hurt me, and it seems like they don’t understand… They asked me to forgive them Lord, why? In that instance God is saying,

Forgiveness is a for a greater purpose. Release from your heart what you hold on too… in order to get the peace you deserve! You have a choice, Will you choose to be Free? ❤️ Be Blessed.

Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
