Trust is a 5 letter word broken in two.. it takes years to build, but only seconds to break, and a lifetime to repair it! Think about..

The bible says: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto your own understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5) It didn’t say Trust man.. because they WILL surely let you down nor did it say Trust in material things… because they will fade away. But it DID said TRUST in the lord! You can either TRUST GOD with your whole heart, or live in fear of the unknown for the rest of your life. You choose.

For Example: Jonah and the whale.. (Now the summed up verison): God commanded Jonah to go and preach repentance to the city of Nineveh, but Jonah didn’t want to go to Niveveh due to it begin known for its wickedness, instead he went to Joppa and booked passage on a ship to Tarshish, heading directly away from Nineveh. So in other words Jonah “ran away from the Lord.” 😨😨 God sent a violent storms sea, Jonah told the men to throw him overboard. First they tried rowing to shore, but the waves got even higher. Afraid of God, the sailors finally tossed Jonah into the sea, and the water immediately grew calm. Instead of drowning, Jonah was swallowed by a great fish, which God provided. Jonah was in the belly of the whale for three days, finally Jonah repented and cried out to God in prayer. He praised God and was spit out”(Jonah 1-4)

Now, the reason I used this example is because when GOD commands you do to something. You have to TRUST in his instructions and do it! GOD has already set a path for you and worked out ALL the issues… he just needs you to go. Don’t hesitate because he will bring you to it again, and the next time won’t be so easy. Jonah like some of us wanted to do it his way, and GOD said: “I will show you my way is right” You have to listen and Obey GOD’S words when he commands you. He learned a lesson…

You have to learn how to Trust GOD for direction, strength and favor. GOD is waiting on you to Trust him so that he can do what you want him to do. It was when JESUS died on the cross, and rose on the third day… is when I put my TRUST in JESUS!

For Example: If you have a piece of paper that is good, and you crumble it… it’s not perfect anymore right? Well, that’s  what GOD is saying to you… I know your not perfect, but I will make you perfect if you Trust in me. GOD can take the broken pieces or the unusable things and mold them into something! He wants the willing, he says many are called but few are chosen. Nothing else matters to GOD, if you give your ALL unto him.

Self-Reflection

This subject makes me cry so much, because I have placed my trust in people who let me down or used and abused me. Ftiends walked away, talked about me, laughed at me, told me i wasnt going to be nothing..I tried my best to do good by others and in return got nothing. Allowed my fears (hurt) to make me bitter, but I know I couldnt be mean or spiteful towrds others. It just wasn’t in my character nor was it in my heart, I couldnt help myself… I’m human too and was hurt along with other things! I didn’t know what to do, but I knew who to turn too, but I was blinded by my hurt and didn’t want kept it inside.  I sat back and thought of ALL the times I was okay and what I had been through, I began to pray (trusting) and asking GOD to heal my hurt and show me how to Trust again… he began to work on me! I can’t say that I don’t think about my past (I’ve come to far to turn back now), but everyday I get stronger with my faith and trusting GOD knowing he is fixing my broken pieces. I know that GOD has me, when no one else does! One thing I will have to do is LET IT GO, AND LET GOD! I can’t hold on to it too, and expect GOD to fix it at the same time. “If it’s  GOD will for my life, it is so”.. I say this all the time (encourge myself).

Remember, TRUST in the name of the Lord always!
