Do you know how to truly forgive someone? When you forgive do you Forget or do you bring it back up? Well, if you answered YES to any part of this question… you haven’t forgave properly. God says: “And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.” Luke 17:4

YES, I do know that it is the back of your mind at all times… but don’t make a person relive their mistakes over and over again. If you say you forgive them do just that Forgive them and move on. Sometimes your pride won’t allow you to say your sorry. In order to walk in the fullness of GOD, you will say sorry alot through your journey on earth. So what if they keep doing the same thing after the asked for forgiveness..

Matthew 18:21-22 says

21 Then Peter came and said to Him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus *said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

My Self Reflection: In life I haven’t been perfect and even to now, still NOT perfect. But, I’m a work in progress and willing to admit when I have done something wrong. I have really mad some people mad at me for the choices I’ve made.. Yes, I said the choices I’ve made! They weren’t right, and I had to learn how to humble myself and ask them for forgiveness. It took me a while, to get my thoughts together to do it… And when I finally was able to submit myself to them and ask them to forgive me, I was so happy that I humbled myself enough to say “I’m sorry”. It’s not about getting brownie points or trying to get a reaction out of people, it’s about recognizing that you have hurt someone and try not to do it again. But once you say it mean it! So if anyone is reading this and I did something  wrong to you or towards you: “I’m  SORRY, please forgive me”

•Devil’s View (Pride)
1. Don’t do it, they did you wrong so they deserve it!
2. They didn’t care enough about you.
3. What are you going to gain asking for forgiveness??

•GOD’S View (Humbleness)
1. Peace among men!!
2. It doesn’t matter what the world says about you!
3. You will gain favor with the Lord!

So NOW, you tell me do you want to forgive or not?? It will be a greater reward in the end…HEAVEN is my goal!

Forgiving someone doesn’t make you soft or a weakling… it makes you HUMBLE! Definition of Humble is: not proud or arrogant; modest When going to someone for forgiveness ask GOD to lead you and be a mouth piece for you. You have to go with the intention that you have set aside your pride and self, and willing to ALLOW GOD to do the rest. Forgive people even if they don’t forgive you.

God says in Mark 11:25: “And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” You gotta learn how to forgive…

Remember, Forgiveness leads to inner joy, inner happiness and definitely inner peace!
